Introduction and FLL Preparation - Beginner/Intermediate Class

This class is designed to help students build a solid foundation of skills essential for participation in the FIRST LEGO League Challenge robotic competition program. The class teaches rising 4th to 8th graders how to design, build and program LEGO robots with a focus on FLL related skills. Concepts are presented at multiple levels, introducing new concepts at an approachable level while engaging those who are ready for more advanced material. Students will learn techniques such as stall detection, proportional control, gyro and many other "tips and tricks" that can increase your FLL team's score by 50-100 points. The class ends with a mini competition that allows the student to use what they have learned in a condensed and simplified version of an FLL competition.

See the FAQ - Robotics for more important information about robotics classes and FLL.

Intermediate and Advanced Class

This class is designed for students that have previously taken multiple robotics classes, have mastered the core robotics concepts and have actively participated on FLL teams. This course builds on the skills mastered in the Beginner/Intermediate classes and prepares students for participation on the advanced teams. Advanced techniques covered include modular programming and project revision control that can help advanced teams organize and optimize their mission programming.
